Me and Peas

Remember last summer when I was bonding with packages of frozen peas?
Unfortunately, I am doing it again!
Thank goodness, it is not my eyes this time.

Wish I could say that I was doing something fun, or on some grand adventure.
Instead, it was just me, my Dyson vacuum, and a complete lack of grace and coordination.

I now have a lovely black, blue and broken toe!

The good news?
We are experiencing record breaking temperatures, and it is predicted to only worsen.
Meanwhile, I am chillin' with my frozen peas!
So, if I am quiet for a few days, that is why.
I am hopeful this will provide some quiet time to sit and stitch!

Hope all of you are staying cool -- but minus any painful injuries.

Sorry, but I must admit when I saw the title I laughed right out loud. Now you know what kind of friend I really am. Of course, I already knew you weren't "seriously" injured, but still the title struck me as funny. Sorry. I'll go back to my corner and be rude out of site. LOL I do hope your toe is feeling better and that you stay cool!! Brutal hot here as well.

So sorry to learn of your vacuuming mishap resulting in a broken toe! That is pretty painful! I know, because I broke a toe last summer, by mis-stepping as I turned around from a closet and fell head long into the shower stall!

Take it easy and pamper yourself as long as you need it. Hopefully you will be able to stay nice and cool an maybe feel like stitching a bit.

No fun... but there is a bright side, there might be more free time to stitch! Blessing in disguise!

Oh no! I'm so sorry. Drat those broken toes! But at least you have a little 'air conditioning' to help you through this heat. Take care, my friend.

ouch! I am just so thankful it is something minor like a toe....was worried about the peepers!
Stay put and let that little piggy mend.

Ugh! Broken toes hurt! I well remember my last encounter two years ago with some brass fittings on a large bathtub...hope you are soon on the mend. I did find that taping the toes together did help some with the pain. In the meantime, stay cool with the peas....

Ouch, Jan...hope those frozen peas help to numb the pain and swelling away. Also hope the toe bone heals very quickly...and I just cannot resist saying....
"It Sucks!"
and now I'll just join Martha in the corner....

I know all about that lack of grace and coordination. I broke a toe four weeks ago, then bashed it again the week before last. Twice, for good measure! Take care of your piggy.

We are getting into the 80's and think it's miserable. I know, quit whining. Stay cool.

Ouch! I often have mishaps with my Dyson but I haven't broken anything yet. I am however battered and bruised from moving my DDs household into storage. Keep icing that toe and get well soon.

Stay inside with your frozen peas. The weather is dreadful!

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

"Ouch!" What a Bummer.....and Proof Positive that housework is dangerous to your health!!

When I saw the picture of the bag of peas on my sidebar, I immediately thought you had them on your eyes again. I'm truly relieved that they are resting much lower on your body.

Be sure to elevate that foot!

Hugs,
Rett

Ouch! I'm just seeing this and hoping you are on the mend. If it is as hot there as here, and I hear it is, use it as an opportunity to stay in and cool off. I really enjoy your Sunday am posts. Thank you.
